Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. In fear of stress, her parents didn't want to see her pursue acting before she turned 18. Perry acknowledged that she was not confident in her acting during high school. She began acting to connect with new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. After graduating Perry moved into New York to search for jobs on television, landing small parts on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led the actress back to California and she was able to find theater work. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. In addition, she played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role through an open audition despite being connected to the character.
